What you see here is a result of years of research into silk products and materials. Because we couldn’t find clarity, we set out to create a line of quality products that empower through education.
From the beginning...
Like any great idea, ours was born out of frustration. We surveyed hundreds of silk retailers and couldn’t find consistency in the market. Do you really know if you are buying silk, satin, sateen? And what’s the difference between them all? Instead of giving up, we listened to every mom’s age-old advice: if you want something done right, you do it yourself.
Silk fabric and perfected design...
Now, we’ve taken matters into our own hands--and we’re looking to share the wealth. Our silk is sourced from a farm in Shengze, Jiangsu, the region who have had their craft of silk-spinning passed on through generations, we deliver the luxury of silk at an honest price. We want you to know what you are buying, our pricing is designed to make high quality silk more accessible.

Our commitment to our clients is everything. We do the work to bring you the highest quality of silk and make sure you know exactly what you are buying. It started with a silk pillow and then when we wanted to get more silk products for ourselves, we just couldn’t find the quality of product we wanted nor could we get an accurate description of the type of silk. If we were having this problem, so were others! Hence, how The Silk Room started.
